Flow Capital Partners (FCP), a Hong Kong–based SFC-licensed alternative asset manager, has launched the Flow Credit Master Fund — a pan-Asia private credit vehicle seeded with US$125 million of founder capital.

The fund broadens FCP’s investment mandate beyond its historical focus on Greater China to encompass credit opportunities across the wider Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, and select emerging markets. The vehicle is structured as an open-ended, evergreen fund — a format designed to reduce the J-curve effect common in traditional closed-end private credit structures and to offer investors greater liquidity flexibility. The launch was reported by Bloomberg in July 2025, reflecting growing institutional attention to private credit managers building pan-Asia platforms.

Strategic Context

The fund launch comes as structural demand for non-bank credit across Asia continues to accelerate. Regional and international banks have progressively retreated from mid-market lending — a trend reinforced by Basel III capital requirements — leaving a significant financing gap for corporate borrowers across the region. According to the AIMA/ACC/Broadridge/EY Private Credit Asia 2.0 report (2025), non-bank penetration of the APAC mid-market credit opportunity remains limited, creating conditions that favour specialist lenders with established origination networks. FCP has been active in Asian structured credit since 2019, deploying capital across senior secured investments in real estate, digital infrastructure, new energy, and cross-border financing.
